WIN Waste Innovations of Seneca County was proud to once again partner with United Way and the City of Fostoria to sponsor Fostoria’s Community Cleanup Day. This biannual event invites residents to responsibly recycle and sustainably dispose of residential waste and volunteer their time to help beautify our neighborhood.
“We appreciate the continued support from WIN Waste Innovations of Seneca County,” shared Libra Martin Tedrow, Executive Director, United Way of Fostoria. “Without their help, we wouldn’t have the great success we’ve seen with these events.”
Alongside other local partners, including Habitat for Humanity, the Kiwanis Club, Olmstead Hauling, and the OSS Solid Waste District, we can provide residents with a convenient way to clear out bulk trash, safely recycle e-waste, and donate reusable items to neighbors in need. During this spring event, our team collected more than 20,000 pounds of waste.
“We always look forward to Fostoria’s Community Cleanup Day and the volunteers’ efforts to maintain a clean and vibrant community,” said Tim Watson, General Manager, WIN Waste Innovations of Seneca County. “By providing resources for sustainable disposal as well as waste collection supplies to onsite volunteers, we’re continuing to protect our local environment and support our neighbors.”
The event took place Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and hosted three locations for drop-off and volunteer coordination. Our team of volunteers was onsite at the Fostoria Memorial Stadium location, handing out waste collection supplies and refreshments for volunteers.
We look forward to the fall event and encourage volunteers to take part in creating a safe and clean environment for us all.
